OCTOBER BOOK SALE

The NEXT Friends of the Library Book Sale will be Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

DONATE YOUR “GENTLY USED" MATERIALS

Why not clean out your bookshelves and audio-visual cabinets to make room for the books, movies and music you buy at the Friends of the Library Book Sale? It’s a recycling program that is fun!

If you are wondering what makes a book or audio-visual material “gently used,” it is a book that is in good enough condition for someone else to read, watch or listen to. Most of our shoppers avoid materials that are water damaged, moldy or falling apart. The only exception is a book that is very old but even those items should have all the pages intact.

To donate books for the Friends of the Library Book Sale, bring them to the desk of the Newton Falls Public Library. If you have a lot of materials to donate, please call the Library ahead of time at 330-872-1282 to ensure there is adequate staffing to assist in the collection of materials..

Helpful Tips

In addition to books, we accept donations of media and assorted printed material, including:

-Audio CDs, LPs, and cassettes
-DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and VHS tapes
-Computer software and console games
-Vintage posters, photos, artwork, postcards, travel brochures, maps, menus and other printed material

All donations are tax-deductible.

WHY JOIN THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY?

The Friends of the Newton Falls Public Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing the Newton Falls Public Library through our fundraising and advocacy efforts.

Members help share the news about all the various ways the Newton Falls Public Library change people's lives and connects them to their community and to the world. Members help to increase the use of the Library through public awareness and cultural programming. They advocate for strong public funding of the Library and strive to provide private funding to enhance essential Library services.

Our Purpose

The FRIENDS of the Newton Falls Public Library is a group of avid supporters united by a common interest in the continued well-being of the Library.

The purpose of the Friends of the Newton Falls Public Library shall be to maintain an association of persons and organizations to focus attention on the Library and its contribution to the quality of life in its community, to encourage the use of the Library's resources and services, and to advocate the further development of the Library for its users through functions compatible with the goals of the Board of Trustees of the Newton Falls Public Library.
