Friends Members Share Common Goals:
Fostering the growth, development and use of the public library,
Focusing public attention on library services and needs,
Encouraging gifts to the library and recruiting volunteers,
Sponsoring special programs as a community service, and;
Spurring educational excellence through promoting reading and a love of learning.
Here's How Friends Help Your Library:
Supplying time and talent to your library.
Your library depends on volunteers to assist with everything from children's reading programs to shelving books to volunteering at book sales.
Funding library improvements.
Since 1979, the Friends have been making it possible for the Library to acquire library materials, provide monetary matches for grants, sponsor children's reading programs, volunteer recognition, and assist with funding capital improvements.
Helping an important public institution in your community--your library.
Access to information has never been more critical. Your library is the information source for students of all ages, senior citizens, businesses and families. Everyone in Ohio benefits from a quality library system.
Staying abreast of library and Friends activities.
As a Friends member, you'll receive a newsletter plus admittance to Friends-only educational & entertainments events. And you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're making a real contribution to your library system.
